Your comments are requested! Tell me what about the acts you would like to appear, anything about the venues, accommodation and the festival in general. I do listen to what you say - the festival is the sum part of everybody taking part, and it is up to you to fashion it the way you like it!

My boyfriend is a big blues fan, so I thought it would be great to come for the weekend if we can find accommodation. I'm very pleasantly surprised at the range of 'Festival Friendly Accommodation' on the website. For some reason I thought all the prices would go sky high during the festival.
I think it's amazing that you organise all this by yourself. It's not just a little event, it requires so much co-ordination and planning etc.
So fingers crossed we'll come along sometime next year.
We are regular attendees of a certain pub in North Hampshire, where we hear REALLY GOOD things about the Swanage Blues Fests from various bands who have played there!!!!!
In addition to that we travel to Swanage on a fairly regular basis - my wife has a favourite clothes shop 'Rainbow End' just around the corner from most of the bars etc.
I do hope you can say that you are re-booking the fantastic Saichi Sugijama Band again, easily the fave band of myself and friends at the festival.
Good to see names of some of the Bands booked for March. Something to look forward to! But, is there any chance Gwyn Ashton's 2 Man Blues Army can return. They were fantastic last time.
Some of the bands suggested or requested by fans are right on the limit of our budget. Quite often they have appeared at a festival because it suited them to drop their price at one particular time only. Getting them back could just be too expensive, unles fans are prepared to help towards their fee?
If you have a particular request for a band or individual, please let me know. If they fall into the category where extra financial help is needed, I'll let you know! Maybe we can pull together to help you get the acts you want. I hope so!
I had an amazing music filled weekend at the Swanage Blues Festival. Great music, great atmosphere and great people. Anyone living on the South Coast is highly recommended to attend the next event. A host full of bars and pubs showcasing live music over three days.
Another classic weekend but with a slightly "bigger" feel - more acts, more gigs, more venues, less gaps. As ever the open mic and jams are the heart of the festival - the jam being a bit more chaotic but the open mic was really tightly run. Speaking of which, it surprises me that more of the festival artistes don't join in at the events - my favourites Riverside Blues Band seem to find the time to do both and I saw some of Paint it Blue at the jam. Perhaps other performers feel that these events are for people not performing - I hope it's not an elitist thing.
We enjoyed Riverside Blues Band of course and we also had a great time with fish and chips and "Steamer" in the Sea Breeze! On Stan's advice we went to see Paint it Blue at the White Swan - they were fantastic. Other great acts included Dave Raphael and Pete Harris. Shame we missed Robert Hokum too. So many acts this time - you just can't see them all - oh yes, The Barcodes - very classy.
I got the impression that some less bluesy acts are finding their way into the festival - it would be a shame if this grew.
Food and accomodation were terrific, a great weekend - well done bucketeers and great job Steve.

Thank you for your comments. You're absolutely right, there are some less traditional blues acts on the bill, and there's a good reason for this.
It's so that the people who are less into traditional blues can go somewhere else to leave the way clear for the more traditional blues fans to enjoy their favourite acts.
It saves the more rootsy acts playing to people who want to hear Led Zep!
Also, if more booked artists joined in at the Open Mic, there'd be less slots for the non-booked artists; and the artists you mentioned who do take part in both tend to be either more local artists or those who are in accommodation over the weekend.
Lots to consider...
